Rebuilding Your Credit After Bankruptcy By Paying Rent

Once you have gotten your fresh financial start, your goal should be to rebuild your credit as quickly as possible. Your credit score will go up, if you start paying your new creditors on time.

One of the easiest ways to start restoring your credit is to pay your rent on time. The credit reporting agency Experian includes rental data in consumer data credit reports.

If your landlord does not use Experian there are two alternatives.

1.) www.rentreporters.com will verify your rent payment with your landlord and deliver the information to the PRBC Payment Recording Builds Credit. This is an alternative credit reporting agency. Check with your landlord to see if they use Experian or Rent Reporters to verify your credit.

2.) If the property management company doesn’t use either credit reporting agency, there is a simple no cost solution to establishing your credit. Keep copies of your cancelled rent checks!

You can show the property manager your cancelled rent checks, so you can establish that you can pay — your monthly rent on time.
