Can I Pick and Choose What I Want to Appear on My Bankruptcy Petition?

Answer: No! The bankruptcy law requires you to list everything that you own and everything you owe in the bankruptcy petition. You can’t pick and chose to exclude a creditor from your bankruptcy, even if you plan on continuing to make payment of your bill.

The bankruptcy law does establish a “picking order”. The bankruptcy law will determine, which of your creditors, if any, get paid and the order in which they get paid.

Filing for bankruptcy can be a powerful tool to put you and your family on a fresh financial start.

You can take control of your finances and provide for your family!
